IELTS on computer, the way you will actually sit it
The IELTS Academic test takes 2 hours 45 minutes: Listening, Reading, and Writing in one sitting, with no break, then Speaking. On computer, Listening gives you 2 minutes to check your answers, not the 10-minute transfer time of the paper test. Our mock follows this exactly.

Listening · your answers
Listening and Reading are marked when you submit. We use the rules examiners accept, including spelling variants and date formats. You get a fair estimate of your band.
When you review a wrong answer, you can see the sentence in the passage or the moment in the transcript. We explain why the right answer works and what caught you.
For Writing, the mock counts your words as you type and warns you before you fall short. Full band feedback on your essay is coming soon.
Most wrong answers are spelling or singular and plural. This is where you should be careful.
From answers to a band
Listening
40 questions, 1 mark each. The total becomes a band.
Reading
40 questions, 1 mark each. No extra time to transfer answers.
Writing
Task 2 counts double. Give it more time.
Speaking
3 parts, marked live by the examiner.
