What this task is

A list of features, usually people or studies, and a set of statements. Each statement restates something one feature said or found. Match each statement to its feature's letter.

This task checks attribution. The passage uses several voices, and you must keep track of whose finding is whose.

The traps

The common mistakes in this question type. Learn to spot each one before test day.

Right finding, wrong person

The most common distractor: a statement that is accurate about the passage but belongs to a different researcher. If you match the finding without checking the name, you will choose it by mistake.

No order, and reuse

The answers do not follow passage order. When the rubric allows reuse, at least one letter is usually used twice.

What to do next time

Before answering anything, mark every place each named feature appears. Most names come up more than once, and the second mention often carries the answer.
Match on the claim plus its owner, never the claim alone.
Statements are reworded, so match by meaning. "Urban expansion" in the statement may be "the growth of cities" in the passage.
